I am asking for your vote to be your trusted conservative voice in Congress.
I grew up in Sturgis. My dad, Mike Jackley, was the Meade County State’s Attorney and a small-town lawyer who ran for Attorney General in 1986. Although he didn’t win that race then, twenty-three years later, he was the one who swore me in as your Attorney General. He taught me that public service is about who you fight for, and that has guided me every step of the way.
I am running for Congress because the fight to save our country is in Washington. I will work with President Trump to strengthen our economy, secure our borders, defend religious liberty, rebuild our national defense, reduce the size of government, and cut taxes for hard working Americans.
I believe the best government is the government closest to the people. I have spent twenty years inside the system as your United States Attorney and Attorney General. I know where it overreaches, where it wastes, and where it has to be cut. South Dakota deserves a representative who knows how to fight and how to win.
What makes me the best candidate is my record. I prosecuted public corruption when others looked the other way. I defended life all the way to the United States Supreme Court and won. I defended the Second Amendment in court and won. I defended South Dakota landowners’ property rights and won. I defended our main street businesses at the Supreme Court in South Dakota v. Wayfair and won. My fellow Attorneys General elected me Chairman of the National Association of Attorneys General because they trusted me to lead.
I am the only candidate in this race endorsed by President Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, Majority Leader Steve Scalise, and Chairman Jim Jordan. I am the only candidate endorsed by the National Rifle Association. I am the only candidate with a Supreme Court pro-life record. I am the only candidate elected to statewide office, and South Dakota voters have honored me with that trust three times. And I am the only candidate who would bring a West River voice back to Washington.
It has been an honor to serve as your United States Attorney and Attorney General. I will work just as hard as your voice in Congress.

Why are you the best candidate for the job?
In what ways do you stand out from your competitor(s)?
My values and experience make me the best candidate for US House. As a father of three who’s been married for 22 years, my commitment to family is faithful and unwavering. My beliefs, supported by the Bible, have guided me through my life, my politics, and my business. I support life at conception, the 2nd amendment, and all other facets of the Republican platform.
I have a diverse employment and educational background. My education included teaching in education, business, management, and construction technology & infrastructure. As a firearm business owner, I’ve also been privileged to teach firearm industry knowledge.
My military service and experience as a disabled veteran uniquely qualify me to work on military & DOD capabilities and with the Veterans Administration. Our duty to our military, the injured, and our respect for the fallen must never waver.
I became qualified as a paralegal at age 45, working pro-bono to help others.
I am disgusted at the violations of our rights, life and liberty. I’m the only one in this race who has acted to defend South Dakotans. I’ve trained under a lawyer who let me take on cases to help people, not special interests or NGOs. In one case, this resulted in a South Dakota Supreme Court victory for family rights.
When it matters, I fight for the people. I have put myself and everything I own on the line to protect others. That’s what a congressman should do.
What ways do I stand out from my opponent?
I am not a career politician, I am not beholden to special interest groups, and I have not sold out. I do what I say, and say what I mean. I do not give DC polished non-answers to questions. I have fought corrupt government and against lawfare. I abhore corruption, progressive ideals, and I strongly believe in South Dakotan values.
